Theatre Arts 120 is an elective course designed to familiarize you with the various aspects of theatrical performance, production, and design. This course will also fulfill one of your graduation requirements (in the Life Role cluster). Previous theatre experience is not necessary; however, you must be willing to get on stage and step outside your comfort zone, both alone and in groups! Assessment will be based on a mixture of theory and performance.
We will be dividing our class time– depending on the unit of study - between the classroom and the theatre. Theatre Arts 120 is a social, creative, and skill-building class, during which we will be learning about and addressing the 6 Cs: collaboration, citizenship, critical thinking, character, communication, and creativity.
Students must be in grade 11 or 12 to take this course.
